Speak good words, kind words,
Words of wisdom, words of encouragement.
Like gentle rain upon a dormant field.
Eventually, they will coax the seeds
Beneath the soil to life.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others, is good you do yourself…
~Norman Wesley Brooks, “Let Every Day Be Christmas,”
I heard a knock on my door one Christmas Eve
As I looked out my window, a man I could see
He was cold and seemed so lonely
And he was upon a bended knee.

God’s gift to the world,
His own Word made flesh
A tiny little babe,
the most silent creche.
God’s gift to the world,
on that dark silent night
His own perfect Son,
Our Savior, our life.
God’s gift to the world
His most perfect gift,
None other could give
His own Son to die,
so we now, can live.
Wishing you all the happiness of peace, love and joy your heart can hold
Merry CHRISTmas
At Christmas, every time we choose a gift,
In the sweet selection,
Shall we remember, all the love
Our Father chose to give,
Through the perfect gift
Of His own precious Son.

A beautiful precious baby boy.
Per history He was laid in a manger
Bringing love, peace and joy.

Little Alma looked around her small, modest farm house. No decorated tree stood in the corner. No candles burned in the windows. No presents were piled on the table. But the house was clean and warm and little Alma was content and most of all, thankful. Read the rest of this entry »
As most of us settle in to celebrate the Christmas holiday with family and friends, I just wanted to take a moment and wish all of you the very best and blessed Christmas ever. For the first time in several years, I have looked at Christmas totally different. As my girls were growing I threw myself into the “shopping blitz” and tended to forget the reality of the season. For many years now, while out and about doing my shopping for Christmas gifts, I’ve picked up a few extra items. I pick up an extra blanket, some toasty slippers and a soft warm fleece top. On Christmas Eve after attending the candle light church service, I make a little detour on the way home. I find a retirement home and make a stop. It’s something I look forward to every year even though I am never sure what the evening has in store for me. I stop at the front desk and ask the nurses for one or two residents that don’t have family or never have any visitors. Read the rest of this entry »
Sometimes in the pain & adversity of our trials
We consume ourselves with one thought,
Of how in the world we can escape from it
And the heartache the trial has brought.

Wherever I am is wherever I am meant to be, whatever I am doing is whatever I am meant to be doing and whatever everyone else is doing is exactly what they are meant to be doing – this is contentment. If you do want to change where you are, or what you are doing, the first thing is to be content with wherever you are and whatever you are doing right now! Paradoxically that’s what attracts opportunities and invitations to be somewhere else! Why? Because you are a living magnet, and contentment is one of your most attractive qualities. And the law of attraction says that according to your dominant thoughts so you will attract the people and circumstances into your life. Being content right now attracts the best possible future.
