The Little Drummer Boy

One of the songs sung during the Christmas season has no scriptural basis, but it captures the simple beauty of the birth of Christ in Bethlehem’s stable 20 Centuries ago. The song adds a little boy to the Christmas story. Like the shepherds who rushed from the nearby hillside to see the Christ-child, this boy to the manger. Unlike the Wise Men who arrived much late the little boy had no elegant gift to present. He only had his drum and his talent.
