A dear child was born that day
A beautiful precious baby boy.
Per history He was laid in a manger
Bringing love, peace and joy.

Parents rendering pride and love
The day their child was born.
Such a humble beginning in life
For the Savior of the world.

The brightest star in the eastern sky
Telling the world of His birth.
Shepherds soon flocking to the child
Filling many hearts with mirth.
—
Wisemen soon to hear the good news
Trekking their way to the child.
Bringing gifts fit for a royal prince
To this baby so meek and mild.

Man not realizing the significance
Of a miraculous birth that day.
The son of God now born of man
Redemption’s price He would pay.
—
Even today the birth is honored
Yet most men not understanding.
Treating the remembrance so trivial
Salvations implication not grasping.
—
Please wake up mankind I pray
Your time on earth is wasting away.
No longer live for self gratification
Surrender and reap the reward of heaven.
